When the venue says, "we will provide you a coordinator", you need to know what that means.
It does not mean that they will plan your wedding. They will not find your vendors, assist you with your contracts, track your RSVPs, get your room blocks, find your invitations, etc. The “On-Site Coordinator’s” responsibility is to make sure that the venue is protected; not you. They are responsible to make sure that the services in your venue contract are performed,
and to protect the integrity of the venue.
So, who is looking out for you?
Who is helping you to complete all of your tasks leading up to the moment you walk into the venue?
Who has your back?
A Wedding Planner starts with you from day one and helps you to accomplish every task associated with your wedding; gown, bridesmaid dresses, grooms attire, coordinating your decor, tracking your RSVPs, securing your transportation, getting your room blocks, holding your purse, providing an emergency kit for the “whoops” of life.
They console, encourage, coach, hug, pray, mediate, block, and tackle if needed!
They have your vision in their heart, and want, as much as you do,
for everything to go perfectly seamless on your wedding day.
You may look up and not see them, because they just corralled little Johnny from photo bombing.
But trust this, they have your best interest at heart.
They have built a relationship with you over time and become like family.
Yes, you can get by with a venue coordinator,
but that is not having the benefit of a professional wedding planner.
