Do I Need RSVP Cards?

No!

Using today’s technology, RSVP cards are obsolete for most weddings.

Unless you are having a formal, after five wedding in a posh cathedral,

omit RSVP cards from your budget.

Instead, leave room on your invitation for:

“Please RSVP by (date) on our website at www.the site.com.you-and-your fiance”

or

“So that we may properly prepare for your seating,

please RSVP no later than (date), at www.the site.com”  (get the point)

Using free wedding websites from either The Knot, Wedding Wire, Zola,

Minted (my personal favorite), and others, you can save hundreds of dollars.

These sites will allow you to not only collect your guest count,

but provide tracking and menu selection,

while eliminating the option to “write in” guests.

I also recommend upgrading to a personalized URL

which makes it easier for your guests to find.

$40 versus $200 and up,

you be the judge!
