Look at her shoes!! If she's wearing Prada, you will need deep pockets.
Let’s make a list:
Dress (avg. $200 – $300)
Shoes (avg. $100)
Jewelry (avg.$50)
possible hotel room the night before the wedding (avg. $200)
random lunches while shopping (approx. $150)
So be prepared to spend about $800 to be a bridesmaid; more if she wears Prada.
Now, if you cannot afford to do this, PLEASE save your friendship and just say no.
Be with her as much as you can. Go dress shopping with her, help find the bridesmaids dresses,
track down addresses for her, volunteer to be a hostess, pray for her and with her,
but don’t say yes, and then can’t come up with the money.
She will appreciate your honesty.
