With all the hustle and bustle of wedding planning,
we get down to the last few months and realize it is time to plan the Rehearsal Dinner.
What is the purpose of a Rehearsal Dinner?
Let’s chat.
The Rehearsal Dinner is usually scheduled right after the wedding rehearsal,
and is intended to be a time for the wedding party to spend time together,
get to know each other, and have some “private time” with the couple.
It is also a time for you, as the wedding couple, to thank your wedding party
(all that are included in the wedding program)
for sacrificing their time and money,
while also being patient throughout the process.
They have spent an enormous amount of money to get the required attire,
taken off work, and supported you through it all.
It is customary for the wedding couple to give each member of the wedding party,
a gift to say thank you at this time.
If you decide not to have a Rehearsal Dinner, no foul.
Create “welcome bags” for the wedding party,
and have them delivered to their room the night before the wedding
or at hotel check-in.
